Doing technology and project management in a team providing engineering and technology expertise to Rakuten's R&D organization, ensuring researchers have the resources and support needed to develop new and innovative technologies and solutions. In charge of overhauling the department's technology resources, including planning and procurement of hardware, implementation of software stacks and configuration management, as well as establishing operational guidelines and best practices.
Acting as a middle-man between the sales and engineering departments for a SaaS media intelligence platform, developing internal software tools and processes, technical investigations, and outward communication during technical issues. Each student specializes in one management field and one engineering field, alongside Japanese studies.
