Lead Product Manager, Google Duo, 07/2015 – 12/2016 Led product definition, design, and development from initial prototype to final, released product on two platforms. Managed successful public launch resulting in 10 million downloads in less than one month. Continued driving product excellence to address top user issues, increase retention and growth, and develop strategy for future development.
Negotiate with stakeholders to define requirements and specifications for technology products and manage development team to ensure quality execution. Balance requests and concerns from end-users, internal stakeholders, and development team to determine priorities, define and schedule releases, and make real-time adjustments as necessary. Also provide various development support functions including, but not limited to, translation/interpretation, documentation, and negotiation with external groups and companies. Reporting directly to the president and managing a cross-functional team of employees.
Conducted research project with the funding and support of the Opto-Electronics and Lightwave Engineering Group at NC State. The project focused on the use of novel holographic techniques to efficiently and inexpensively fabricate sub-100nm nanostructures.
